Film Analysis - From Yale University, this guide provides a grounding for understanding film, from definitions of basic terms to explaining standard types of shooting.

Film & Digital Times - This bimonthly publication focuses on technology used in motion picture production. Published and edited by cinematographer and professor Jon Fauer, FDT looks at how-to and how-not-to, techniques and technology, style and strategies, and tips and trends in the field.

Film Riot - From filmmaker Ryan Connolly, Film Riot covers all things filmmaking through podcasts, a web series, videos, and articles.

Videomaker - A consumer magazine for video enthusiasts, Videomaker features an extensive “learn” section, covering everything from lighting to editing, in addition to a podcast and technology reviews. (Note: some aspects of the site, such as video courses, require a subscription.)
