The mission of CCS Library is to foster the relationship between research, critical thinking, artmaking, and design ideation.
Library staff work to achieve our mission through the following goals:
Develop physical and electronic collections that represent diverse voices and perspectives
Create inclusive spaces for independent and collaborative study
Provide outstanding services that support the evolving needs of art and design education
Serve as knowledge experts to aid pursuits of inquiry and inspiration
Collaborate with faculty to integrate information and visual literacy into the curriculum
Vision
The vision for the CCS Library is to serve as a research hub at the College for Creative Studies and a campus partner supporting the next generation of artists, designers, and innovators entering the Detroit community and beyond.
